Once we have knowledge of your desired neighbourhoods and the price range for your new home, we will put you on our Clients’ List and forward to you for your consideration and follow-up any prospects gleaned from our continuous review of new listings posted on the Ottawa and area Real Estate Board’s Multiple Listing Service. This puts you ahead of those Buyers in the marketplace not working with or committed to an Agent. As well, through our ongoing communications with other Agents, we will search out and advise you of prospective listings that may fit your home-buying profile prior to their being formally placed on MLS. Also, we will make suggestions on homes that may not have made it on to your own “to view” list, as it is sometimes the case that a home’s photos do not impart the true “feel” of the home itself. By way of example, one should not immediately discount a home, as sometimes happens, based on existing wall colour or broadloom choices that tend to make rooms look small or dated. In any appointments for viewing made on your behalf, we will guide you through the home, pointing out pertinent information along the way.

As always, your feedback is of great assistance to us in our being able to bring your home- buying experience to a happy and satisfying conclusion. So please, when viewing potential homes for purchase, let us know what you like and what you do not like. Remember, you are not dealing with the Home Seller directly and your critique of any given features of the home will not hurt our feelings in any way; rather, your being in a position to communicate freely with us helps us to fine-tune your needs and to focus us on finding that “just right fit” for you and your family.

When and if we get back to hosting public open houses we will make suggestions as to which ones would be of the most interest to you that fits your criteria.

While video representations, open houses, virtual walk-throughs and the examination of floor plans can be very useful in getting “ to know” a home, the best measure of whether it is the “just right” home for you is simply standing in the space alone with your advisor. Let us show you the home and spend the time getting you familiar with it.
