When any of us decide to have a renovation or work done to our homes we often look for referrals of trades for work. Recently, I went through a renovation and would like to share with you some of the good experiences that I had. I actually miss these guys.
In the early spring I arrived at a clients home on Broadway Ave. to list the home for sale. Outside was an older smiling Italian man redoing the flagstone pathway.
I stopped and chatted. His name was Antonio (Tony) Moio and he is a charming man who has “old school” values and craftsmanship.
Tony, as he likes to tell you came over on a boat many, many years ago with his wife and a loaf of bread and started a new life in Canada. Working hard and raising a family. His son Pietro now runs the family business.
When I saw the quality of the work they did and how honest they were, I called them when I needed foundation work and landscaping done.
I cannot say enough about Pietro and his crew, not to mention Tony. They arrive on time with smiling faces, they are polite, cheerful and just a lovely group of men to have at your home.
At the end of the day everything cleaned and put a way – a nice good bye and see you tomorrow.
Plus they actually do come back tomorrow and finish the job.
They are perfectionist about their work.
They did my basement foundation work (rebuilt walls) and my dry stack garden borders. When the person who they recommended for my interlocking driveway was too busy they felt badly and actually did that as well. Not to mention that they (5 guys in all) removed a radiator that sat on my deck for two months that someone had left there. Took all five of these men (and some of these guys are not tiny) to lift into a truck.
What is not to like about these people!
I cannot say enough about Tony, Pietro and his crew. They truly are “old world”, hardworking, polite and have smiles that make you smile.
Here is how to reach them.
